This course was developed by the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) program specifically for those real estate practitioners that are interested in focusing on ownership and transaction principles of international real estate. Covers real estate practices in Asia and the Pacific with emphasis on cultural influences, economic trends, and investment opportunities. Includes a special chapter on working with the Japanese.

Christine G. Wren, CIPS, is a REALTOR®, and experienced association professional with more than three decades of industry perspective. Licensed as a REALTOR® first in Illinois in 1991 and later in Texas, Christine brings both practitioner experience and a deep understanding of how global relationships create local business opportunities.
Since joining the Austin Board of REALTORS® in 2018, Christine has helped build its Global program into one of the nation’s most recognized REALTOR® association global programs, earning National Association of REALTORS® Global Achievement recognition at the highest levels, including the Diamond Award.
A longtime advocate for international real estate, Christine holds the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation since 2016 and has served on NAR’s Global Business & Alliances and CIPS Advisory Committee. Her work has connected REALTORS®, associations, economic development organizations, and international partners across markets and borders.
