What is an Unreported Licensee?
Unreported Licensees are agents who have not joined one of the boards of which the sponsoring broker is a member. The Bylaws of the Austin Board of REALTORS®, the Texas Association of REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS® provide that if you, or a broker in your firm, hold the license of a non-member agent, you must pay dues to the Association on behalf of that licensee (Article X, Section 2).
What are my options for satisfying this requirement?
Have the licensee establish REALTOR® membership with the Austin Board of REALTORS®
STAY COMPLIANT
An invoice in the amount of $448 (per non-member agent under your sponsorship) will be mailed to you within the week. You may choose to pay this invoice instead of becoming a member of the Austin Board of REALTORS®, however, paying the invoice of $448 will not make the Unreported Licensee a member of the Austin Board of REALTORS®
TERMINATION
Return the sponsored license to TREC for termination and provide the Austin Board of REALTORS®
with documentation of said termination. One of the following must be provided:
Date-stamped termination form from TREC
Email verification from TREC
Front and back copy of the signed and dated license stamped by TREC
ESTABLISHED MEMBERSHIP
If the Unreported Licensee(s) holds membership with another REALTOR® association in the state of Texas, you may provide a Letter of Good Standing from said association.
If services are terminated prior to resolution of said Unreported Licensee(s), an additional fee of $125 (plus tax) will be assessed for the reinstatement of your membership.
We greatly appreciate your cooperation on this matter. Should you have any questions, please contact your ABoR Member Services staff at support@abor.com or by phone at 512-454-7636.
