How to Authenticate Your Account with MFA   

Starting today, a small but important change is coming to your MLS login experience. 

Multi-Factor Authentication, or MFA, is now required for all subscribers. This update is being made by our login system provider, Cotality, to help keep your account secure.  

Important: You will not be asked to authenticate your account every time you log in. You will only be required to authenticate if your Risk Score is elevated—this can happen when logging in from a new or public location.  

We know it’s an extra step, and we appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to make your account access safer than ever.  

Here are the steps for logging in and what to do if you are asked to authenticate:  
 
Step 1: Log In 
Start by going to UnlockMLS.com.  

From the homepage, click “Log In” in the top-right corner. 
Then, choose: 

  • Subscriber Portal – for your classes, billing, and profile information, or 

  • Access MLS – for all your MLS tools, including Matrix. 

 
Step 2: Verify Your Login  
After entering your username and password, you may be prompted for Multi-Factor Authentication, or MFA. 

If asked to authenticate, you’ll be asked how you would like to receive your verification code—by email or text message. 

Important: Double-check that the email address or phone number displayed is correct. If something doesn’t look right, please reach out to the Unlock MLS & ABoR Support Team so we can update your contact information before you proceed. 

Once you’ve chosen your preferred method, you’ll receive your code from do-not-reply@cotality.com

Step 3: Complete Verification  
Enter the code you received via email or text, click Verify, and you’re in! 
Once verified, you’ll have full access to your MLS account—just as before, but with added protection for your data.
