ABoR Foundation Scholarship Program

Scholarship applications are evaluated on a combination of academic merit, extracurricular involvement, and financial need.

Application Review Period: Qualifying scholarship applications are reviewed by a dedicated team of volunteer members. Depending on the number of scholarships available that year, the Scholarship Selection Team selects a specific number of candidates to move forward to the scholarship interview process.

Virtual Interview Period: Scholarship interviews are conducted virtually over a two-day period. All candidates are asked similar questions and evaluated on the same criteria to ensure a fair and equitable interview process. Scholarship interviews typically last 10 minutes but can run longer or shorter based on the candidate's responses.

Voting Period: Once interviews have concluded, each Scholarship Selection Team member casts an anonymous, virtual vote for scholarship recipients among the candidates they have personally interviewed. In the event of a tie vote, virtual run-off elections are required.

Any high school senior residing within the 18-county Unlock MLS service area is eligible to apply. Applicants must have plans to attend a Texas university, college, or trade school in the fall.

No! The ABoR Foundation is open to the public. Candidates do not receive additional consideration for having family members who are REALTORS®, ABoR members, or Unlock MLS subscribers.
