Kai Vanpelt

Kai Vanpelt is an IT Operations and Support Specialist at the Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR). Kai joined ABoR in 2024, and helps keep the organization’s technology running smoothly, reliably, and efficiently.

In his role, Kai provides technology support to ABoR staff and facilities. His work goes beyond day-to-day troubleshooting. He helps implement and integrate new and upgraded information systems and monitors and improves ABoR’s IT infrastructure, so it can keep growing with the organization.

One of Kai’s key responsibilities is administering Zendesk, ABoR’s customer support ticketing system. He manages it with a focus on making sure members and subscribers have a positive experience every time they reach out for help. Behind every ticket is someone who needs an answer, and Kai works to make sure that answer arrives quickly and clearly.

What Kai finds most rewarding is making sure ABoR staff have a positive experience with IT. Whether he’s resolving an urgent issue, setting up new equipment, or rolling out an improved system, he takes pride in helping his colleagues do their best work without technology getting in the way.
