Jen Rios

Jen is an experienced marketing and communications leader and Communications Supervisor at the Austin Board of REALTORS®. She has developed campaigns for organizations such as Avalon Travel Publishing (Rick Steves' Travel Guides), the Forté Foundation, and the Texas Medical Association, where she led digital outreach to more than 55,000 physician members during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jen believes good communication starts with the audience: understanding what people need to know, then sharing it in a way that is clear, useful, and human. Known for her creativity and collaborative spirit, she enjoys working across teams to turn ideas into stories that inform and engage.

A native of Salinas, California, Jen studied journalism, mass communication, and liberal studies at Hartnell College and San Jose State University before moving to Texas in 2008.

Outside the office, Jen serves on the board of the Women Communicators of Austin as Vice President of Communications and volunteers with the Friends of the Buda Public Library. She is also searching for the perfect taco, learning to play golf, exploring local breweries with her women's craft beer group, and spending as much time as possible with her son.
