James Headrick

James is part of ABoR's video team and helps produce the association's livestreamed events, online classes, videos and marketing campaigns. He has more than 13 years of experience in video production and helps make sure everything looks and sounds great, whether the audience is in the room or watching from home.

For him, the story comes first. Whether it's a short member testimonial or a full marketing campaign, he looks for the human moment that makes a viewer stop and feel something. He believes that's what separates a video people watch from one they remember.

He earned his B.A. in Communications from Concordia University Texas. Before joining ABoR, he ran his own freelance video business, filming weddings and creating videos for local companies. He also served as a part-time firefighter and EMT with a small department in North Austin, and he still volunteers with Texas Search and Rescue.

When the Texas heat lets up, you'll find him on the trails around Georgetown, out on walks with his family, or behind a camera taking photos just for fun.
