He's an active member of the Austin Board of Realtors® and Unlock MLS and a board member for both March of Dimes and Ballet Austin. He serves as a committee member for The Austin/Central Texas Realty Information Services (ACTRIS), is a past board member for the Austin Boys and Girls Clubs and a past president of the Rob Roy HOA. His generous organizational skills have helped to raise thousands of dollars for deserving charities such as the Dell Children's Hospital and the Riverbend Child Development Center.

When he's not matching the perfect seller with the ideal buyer, Shiflet immediately gravitates towards anything fun. He's a car collector and an avid golfer. More personally, he loves spending time with his wife, Anne, and their four children. The family enjoys traveling and spending long, relaxing days on the family boat on Lake Austin.
