An Interactive Workshop on Comparable Selection and Market-Derived Adjustments
This course is designed to help residential real estate professionals understand the analytical sequence appraisers use to move from subject-property identification to comparable selection, market-reaction analysis, supported adjustments, and reconciliation. The instruction emphasizes property types and market settings commonly encountered throughout the Greater Austin area rather than highly specialized or fringe examples such as downtown high-rise condominiums.
Participants should leave able to understand the reasoning behind an appraisal, recognize when the available evidence supports an adjustment or does not support one, identify legitimate analytical concerns, and communicate those concerns using relevant facts and market evidence.
