What is NormanMD?
NormanMD is a virtual urgent care telemedicine service operating out of Austin, TX. When you are not feeling well, our family medicine and pediatric physicians are available on-demand 24/7/365 without the need to schedule an appointment or drive to a clinic.
How is NormanMD different than other telemed services?
NormanMD believes local is better. We staff our service with individually selected family medicine and pediatric physicians. Our doctors are all currently practicing in Central Texas so they know what’s going around and are familiar with the healthcare community. Should you or your loved ones need lab tests, x-rays, or in-person care with a physician or specialist, they know the best local options for you.
Is NormanMD the same as ARC?
NormanMD is powered by Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) physicians, meaning that all of our doctors are practicing at ARC. We can also refer patients to ARC resources, such as labs and after hours care, for convenience and at the patient’s request. NormanMD, however, does not offer the same services that you may receive from your ARC physician. NormanMD is a separate service specifically meant for urgent care symptoms and is available to any patient throughout Texas, regardless of who their PCP is.
Is NormanMD an insurance plan?
No, we are a telemedicine service. We offer quality, convenient care for urgent needs.
Does NormanMD take insurance?
No, we do not. NormanMD offers self-pay membership options for Texans who would like to have on-demand care and do not file claims with insurance plans. We ensure peace of mind.
When can I use NormanMD?
Having a good relationship with your primary care physician is always best. However, sometimes illnesses and minor injuries come up at inconvenient times.
